The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the sexual Harassment of Women (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013(14 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the rules.
A committee has been formed at the Institute level to investigate the problems raised. Following are the functions of the concerned committee.
FUNCTIONS:Promote the students to come forward and to take part in all kinds of academic and cultural activities.
Build the confidence of the women by addressing all the issues related to gender discrimination.
Counsel the students carefully under-reported cases of sexual harassment or any kind of gender bias discrimination, and to initiate immediate action against the grievances.
Conduct workshops with a motive to teach girls about self-defense and skill development.
Educate the girl students on women related health issues and to follow the necessary preventive measures.
Conduct various seminars and guest lectures to provide free working environments for all the students and staff members from both physical and mental harassment.
Especially train lower cadre women workers or scavengers by educating them in the best possible approach to make them better in all aspects.
